Portable Swimming Kiddie Pools for A Camping Trip
So maybe this summer you decided against a beach holiday. We don’t blame you; beaches get ridiculously crowded no matter where you go, the sun gets insanely hot, and sunburn just isn’t worth it! What’s more, if you’re planning a family holiday, the idea of running after the kids forcing them to reapply sunscreen or preventing them from trying to touch that jellyfish in the sand is just way too much hassle. If you don’t want to travel out to the overcrowded coasts or splash too much cash on ensuring a peaceful beach vacation on a remote island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, why not take a camping trip? Camping is a nice, cozy way of enjoying nature as a family, and you can have lots of fun putting old girl scout skills to the test. It’s a great learning experience for kids too, they’ll get to be more hands-on with cooking, organizing and setting up. No matter where you go, it’s going to be hot. We can’t really escape the sun in the summer months, so we might as well embrace it! A great way to cool down is to bring a portable inflatable pool! We carry a range of fun portable kiddie pools made of high quality, durable environmental protection PVC. This is a great option if your campsite is not near a beach or lake, or if you have younger children and would rather then not swim in the sea or a pond. What’s more, you can set it up right outside your tent or trailer, making showering and cleaning up a lot more convenient. Here are five great places in the USA for you to camp at, and matching inflatable pools!
Hot Springs, North Carolina
Hot Springs Village is a picturesque resort community surrounded by 11 recreational lakes and miles of green walking trails that are perfect for a family camping trip. Creek Ridge Campground lies just outside of the area, and you can choose from a variety of accommodations like cabins, glamping or even hanging beds. The cozy cabins are all pretty, wood-boarded and open up to incredible views of the Appalachian mountains. By day, you can hike through the stunning landscape, or do activities like boating and fishing.
Hume Lake, National Sequoia Park, California
The National Sequoia Park is one of America’s natural gems, where you will be awed by these age-old trees, some of them dating back 2,000 years ago. The woods are tranquil, full of life and unbeatable experience for a family. By night, you can listen to the crickets chirp and watch the stars high up between the trees. There are many campgrounds you can choose from, all surrounded by fascinating landscapes of boulders, twisting lakes and pine trees. You can easily set up tents and trailers, and toilets can be easily found.
Red River Gorge, Kentucky
Kentucky’s Red River Gorge is a beautiful, rugged landscape that boasts an extensive canyon, making it a prime camping spot. Brimming with sandstone cliffs, rock formations and waterfalls, this place is sure to excite any child. The campsites here are less developed than most, so we suggest Land of the Arches Campground as it has bathrooms, WiFi and hot showers, which will make your stay with children much more manageable.
La Push, Washington
This serene beachside will be the camping trip of your dreams. Forested wilderness and coastal tranquility merge here; by day, explore the dense green woods full of mossy streams that lead into tide pools on the driftwood-covered beach. After a family dinner against the sunset, lie on the sand and look up into the vast, open sky as the stars come out. The tides can get pretty high here, so do set up camp higher away from the shore.
Douthat State Park, Virginia
Located in the Allegheny Mountains, there are more than 40 miles worth of hiking trails for all ages, making it a family-friendly location! Wilson Creek and Douthat Lake make for great beginner-fishing zones, and your kids can even get their Junior Ranger badges with the education programmes offered here! There are also lots of playgrounds, boat rentals and restaurants scattered among the beautiful Virginian scenery. Did we mention there’s no cellular data here? You’ll actually get to spend time with each other!
Don’t forget to drain your pool after use. Any water left over can become stagnant and attract mosquitoes, the last thing we want this summer! Happy camping and happy summer holidays!
